The program begins on Wednesday, January 14 with four field trips leaving at various time of the day from the Holiday Inn by the Bay. A Recirculating Aquaculture Systems Workshop hosted by Pentair Aquatic Eco-Systems will be taught all day Wednesday (requires preregistration). Beginning at noon, the 1st Annual Maine R&D Networking Forum will be followed by the opening reception that evening. On Thursday morning, the opening plenary session will feature short industry updates from around the northeast and maritimes region. Thursday’s luncheon speaker will feature John K. Bullard, Northeast Regional Administrator for NOAA Fisheries. Special sessions, workshops and a poster session will round out the events of the day. Thursday evening, attendees will be on their own to dine at one of the fine restaurants in this renown “foodie” town. Attendees will receive maps identifying 20 or so fine restaurants within a ten minute walk from the conference center. Friday has another day packed with sessions and workshops. Friday’s luncheon speaker will feature an address by chef Barton Seaver.
